MICRONEEDLING AKA COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY

Microneedling is a medical cosmetic procedure used to treat and improve facial and body conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots and sun spots including micropigmentation, stretch marks and cellulite. It's also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI). One of the many benefits of microneedling is that it creates small channels in the skin’s surface which allow topical serums to penetrate deeply which increases their efficacy. Depending on which treatment plan, different medical serums are applied during the process to maximize absorption. In return the body will naturally produce collagen and new skin tissue for brighter, smoother, firmer and more toned skin.

A consultation will be done prior to analyze the skin and to discuss client's skin goals to determine treatment plan. A topical numbing agent will be applied prior to the procedure to maximize comfort.

You may be an ideal candidate for this procedure if you’re in good health and have certain skin concerns that haven’t responded to home treatments or other types of dermatologic procedures, such as peels.

Depending on the treatment plan determined by your technician, you will experience minor redness and irritation for a few days after the procedure. Microneedling may require anywhere from no down time to 3 - 5 days. This is subjective per client.
